Review of Stratford EB 12i HE stove

stratford inset boiler stove

The stove is well constructed and looks good in situ. In use the stove lights easily and is quick to build up heat, we easily keep the stove in for long periods and it has warmed our three bed detached house well through its first winter. The air wash could be better, open it enough to keep the glass clean and it increase fuel burn. The painted surface was marked on installation (it is not as robust as the old enamelled stove surfaces) but it can be quickly repainted using the manufacturers (Arada brand)spray paint. We find the stove easier to use on a daily basis than our last stove, we use a Tippy ash carrier for ease of emptying the stove.
