After much research and largely based on the ratings given to this stove on the WhatStove? web site, we decided to invest in the 3142 and haven't been disappointed. Like many people, we wanted
to try to cut down on oil heating costs and this seems to be the environmentally friendly way forward. Morso pride themselves on eco issues in any case [advising not to burn throughout the night, interestingly] so the ethics also appeal. So far, so very good; lighting is straightforward enough and we don't use nay paper as this creates additional ash. Leave the door slightly ajar for a few minutes with both air supplies fully open to increase the draw and it's all systems go.Our only criticism is that the instruction manual from Morso for the effective operation of the stove is dreadful! It doesn't even make clear which air control is which . Overall, however, you will be making a very good investment should you opt for this excellent product.

This was the first woodburner I had, it went into a high ceiling Victorian room which was damp and used to get ice on the inside of the windows in winter. In spite of a radiator, you often ended
up sitting under a blanket in the evening. Once the stove went in, the room dried out in a week or so and sometimes, the windows had to be opened. It lit easily and would stay in so well it was lit night and day. It even stayed in over a weekend.

  • morso 3142 convector

I bought this stove on our daughters reccomendation, having been installed only a few weeks we are delighted with our choice, the build of the morso is very good and the heat out put of the
convector model has made our large kitchen/dining area remarkedly comfortable. We had not previously owned a stove and initially found lighting a problem, after a short while we got the hang of this, it was our inexperience causing the problem. I would suggest to anyone thinking of purchasing a stove that they have a look at Morso and also beware of oversizing as the heat output is surprising. We dont burn overnight so cant comment on that aspect. Overall , highly delighted with the Morso

Stove expert replied: Great feedback for a beginner to owning a stove, it takes time to learn to get the best out of one!

    night just a cracking stove.

  • 3142 worth every penny

I got this stove 3 years ago and i love it. The heat output is fantastic and good controlably. I have this stove sitting in my sunlounge 5 metres square which is half glass and anyone who has
a sun lounge will know when its cloudy outside the sunlounge is cloud to. This is cosy to watch it burning on a winters night listening to the wind and rain outside. This stove is worth every penny of its price tag and if I was to buy another stove it would be a Morso, no matter if it was twice its price, and thats it. One of the other good things about this stove is the convector sides and the way it draws in the cold air at the bottom and heats it up and filters it out at the top warm. I also bought a morso kettle to humidify the room. Its nice after a stressfull day at work to come home and light the stove and fill the kettle with warm water and put some lavander oils in it and sit down and relax.
