Bought to replace another stove as this is suitable for Smoke free zone and old stove was difficult to get going in new house. Fairly easy to light but can be a little temperamental if too much
ash is left on grate - possibly blocking primary air from making it to the fuel properly, also needs door leaving slightly ajar until it gets up to full speed. Once going it's very controllable and needs minimum fuss. Very efficient compared to old stove. Like the styling (like previous review was going to go for 1412 but liked the more contemporary look of 1416).Had it installed in April this year and the only negative I'd say is the amount of time it is/has taken for the new smell to burn off - if it is left to burn too fast (above flue temp thermometer optimum zone), it still gives off fumes after a good 4 weeks of use.Having said that it's a cracking little stove and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for a small room heater, fills our 4m x 4m room with heat in around an hour even during the short cold snap we've just had.

Stove expert replied: Paint curing can take a while but should not last much longer. Glad to hear you are happy with it bar from that.

We only have a small-med size lounge so I wanted a small stove.I wanted one that was more old fashioned looking with controls like 'The Flying Scotsman' (morso squirrel)but my missus wanted
something modern looking. Then we found the 1416. We are both very very happy with it. Beautiful quality. Big glass window so its really cozy and glass stays clean. Fantastic controllability, very clever efficient tertiary air, easy to use and clean out. Morso's instructions tell you everything. We have HALVED our gas bill over 12 months. Superb design features. F1 car meets woodburner really.

Stove expert replied: Great feedback and this stove working well and clearly is producing great output.
