  • Lovely little stove...

We purchased this stove to heat our conservatory in the winter months. We have had it installed for 1 month and used it nearly every day. It is easy to get going, and warms up quickly . I really
like the appearance of this stove. It has a very ''clean'' look without being too blocky. The finish is excellent and it feels really well made. The air controls work really well from one lever and it is easy to control the burn. It is a doddle to clean out each time. This is our first stove and we love it. I would definitely recommend it.

I've been using this stove since early December, as a Former owner of a Contura at our last property, which I loved at the time, I never saw me owning any other make, great build beautiful design
etc.. But I wanted the choice of multi fuel which the Contura couldn't give me so I opted for the Ellesmere 4 ... Wow! owning this Aga blows the Contura out of the park. Ease of getting this little stove going is 5* , despite having a stove previously I would say I was a novice as I only owned it 6 months. I've adapted the "top down burning" method, if your not familiar with it look on you tube, it suits this stove and I've never had an issue lighting or getting up to temp quickly , beautiful clean fires. Firebox is by far one of the biggest for a 4kw burner with a big unobstructed glass window. Glass keeps clean even when the stove is closed down, it does soot a little but I've learnt this is the low temp burning of the dying fire. This clears straight away at next burn. This stove is so easy to use , once fires up to temp ( I have a thermometer on pipe) reload and then close it down just keep reloading as needed, even when I've thought I'm letting the fire die, open her up with very little embers, throw on some fuel and it's off again, it's brilliant. The build is solid and everything down to the handle feels well built, the chrome handle obviously gets hot but a little 'sleeve'. Type tool which is also the riddling handle, provides a safe addition. I can't tell you how impressed I am, the heat output feels more than 4kw, our last was a five and this can stand it's ground with it. I thought I would use this as a multi fuel but I haven't which is why I went for this over my much loved Contura, however I would have this Aga again any day of the week I love it... It looks stunning despite us living in a 1970 dormer bungalow and it performs impeccably.. In short good build, good performer, great heat output and as easy as to use as they come. Well done Aga, you've hit the nail with this beauty.

  • Great stove

We''ve had the stove for 12 months and absolutely love it. It''s our first stove so we are technically novices but the stove is easy to light, easy to manage the burn and gives off lots of
heat. We love the big glass screen which stays clear. We now only burn logs as prefer the effect but when using coal we could set it to burn slow and the fire would stay alight through the night. It looks great and we love it!!!

  • Superb Stove

This is my third wood burning stove that I have owned and I have to say this is certainly my favourite.I was a little undecided when I purchased the stove whether to go for a cast iron or a
steel model.Having owned the stove for a few months I have no regrets on choosing a steel stove as it heats up very quickly and is the most controllable stove I have owned. The firebox is large for a 4kw stove which is a bonus and it certainly throws out plenty of heat. The stove is very solidly built and looks great. I do like to be able to see the fire so the addition of a large glass door is a nice feature. Lighting the fire is quick and simple. The Aga Ellesmere is good looking stove that performs beautifully.
